De Spaanse gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit heeft ASNEF-EQUIFAX, SERVICIOS DE INFORMACIÓN SOBRE SOLVENCIA Y CRÉDITO, S.L. een boete van 200.000 euro opgelegd. De verantwoordelijke partij heeft persoonsgegevens verkregen van een derde partij zonder de wettigheid daarvan te controleren. Dit resulteerde in het feit dat de verantwoordelijke partij de gegevens verwerkte zonder een voldoende juridische basis. Bovendien heeft de verantwoordelijke partij niet voldoende aan een verzoek om gegevensverwijdering voldaan.
