De Spaanse autoriteit voor gegevensbescherming (AEPD) heeft MAD COOL FESTIVAL S.L. een boete van 3.500 euro opgelegd. De verantwoordelijke partij heeft een datalek ervaren als gevolg van onvoldoende technische en organisatorische maatregelen. De totale boete bestaat uit een boete van 2.000 euro voor het overtreden van artikel 5(1)(f) van de AVG, en 1.500 euro voor het overtreden van artikel 32 van de AVG. De totale som kan met 20% worden verlaagd (wat resulteert in een boete van 2.800 euro) bij tijdige betaling.
