As regards the Parliament’s arguments based on Regulation 2018/1725, TC contends that the Parliament has not provided details of how it processes personal data and has not explained how longer email retention periods could be incompatible with the regime established by that regulation. In addition, the principle of data minimisation, laid down in Article 4(1)(c) of that regulation, concerns the volume of data processed and not the duration of their retention.
