De Griekse Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens heeft Vodafone – PANAFON A.E.E.T. een boete van 550.000 euro opgelegd. De verantwoordelijke partij heeft onvoldoende technische en organisatorische maatregelen genomen om de gegevensbeveiliging te waarborgen, waardoor een telecomwinkel ten onrechte meerdere SIM-kaarten aan dezelfde persoon kon toewijzen. De verantwoordelijke partij heeft ook geen verwerker gebruikt die de implementatie van voldoende technische en organisatorische maatregelen kon garanderen, en heeft de verwerking niet beheerd met een adequaat gegevensverwerkingscontract.
