Personen die optreden als klokkenluiders bij inbreuken op deze verordening, moeten worden beschermd uit hoofde van het Unierecht. Richtlijn (EU) 2019/1937 van het Europees Parlement en de Raad (54) moet daarom van toepassing zijn op de melding van inbreuken op deze verordening en op de bescherming van personen die dergelijke inbreuken melden.
